Franklin Mack Spear Franklin Mack Spear, 71, of Austin, Texas, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007. He was born on November 6, 1936 in Pandora, Texas to Clayton and Arthenia Spear. Franklin was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University (Texas State). He retired from sales and marketing of educational supplies after many years of service. Franklin is survived by his wife, Orlene Spear; daughter, Gayle Hopkins and husband Bill; son, Steve Spear and wife Kamille; sister, Patsy Smith; grandchildren, Amber and Hunter Spear; step-grandchildren, Haley and Heath Jackson and Katy and William Hopkins, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Spear and his brother, Doyle Ray Spear. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Private family graveside service will be held.
