Fred Pool

Fred was a very loving person who was a friend to all. He enjoyed living life to the fullest, and loved his children and family. He was an avid sports fan, football official, and judge at the TX. Relays. While he served in the military during WWII, he met and married Mabel Holman, the love of his life. They danced together in marriage for 60 years.

He was predeceased in death by his wife Mabel Marie Pool. He is survived by his daughter Judy Small, sons, William D. Pool and wife Carolyn, Robert H. Pool and wife Madonna, and sister-in-laws, Gladys Holman of San Mateo, CA., and Georgia Pool of Austin, TX. Fred had 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, all whom he dearly loved.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills located at 9700 Anderson Mill Road. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church located at 10010 Anderson Mill Road. A graveside service will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery located at 14501 N. IH 35 in Pflugerville.

Pallbearers will include the following grandsons; Gene Pool, Chris Pool, Jeff Pool, Edward Petri, Lance Petri, Jimmy Small, Troy Unger, Matt Pool, and Brandon Reynolds.
