Garrett was a proud graduate of Westlake High School and The University of Texas at Austin.
He is survived by his parents, John and Sue Lloyd Cassel of Austin and his sister, Lauren Cassel Brownell and family, of Lubbock Texas. Also survived by his wife, Lesa Surber, and her extended family who loved Garrett as their own.
He leaves behind many friends whose lives he touched deeply.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or The American Heart Association.
