Gary E. Nugent

Gary was born on September 12, 1936, in Lake Placid, New York. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lorraine Nugent; parents, George and Emily Nugent; brother, Donald Nugent; and sister, Eunice Bulman.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Kim Nugent and her boyfriend, Bill Lasker, and Cheri Hardaway and her husband, Wayne; his grandchildren, Dustin Hardaway and his wife, Jennifer, Corey Hardaway and his wife, Kristi, Chelsea Miller and her husband, Jay, Caitie Hardaway, and Cody, Colby, and Shelby Lasker; his great-grandchildren, William, Devin, and Ella; his brother, George Nugent; and his sister, Dorothy Betters. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services celebrating Gary’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin.

Flowers for the service are much appreciated; however, memorial contributions may also be made in Gary’s memory to Hospice Austin or Meals on Wheels.
