

Tootsie made her home since 1950 in the Crestview Community where she and her husband are charter members of Northwest Baptist Church. A descendant of the Old Texas 300, Tootsie was born on September 30, 1921 in Sanger, Denton County, Texas to Robert Albert Goff and Relia Hope Ellett Goff. Tootsie moved to Austin in 1928.
Tootsie is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sandra Fisher, brothers, Andrew Goff and John Robert (JR) Goff and her sister Mable Goff Hatch.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 ½ years, John Roy Fisher, her son James Roy Fisher and wife, Melissa, her Granddaughter, Ashley Fisher Castro, all of Austin; her Grandson, Jarrett Ross Fisher, of Bryan; her Great Grandchildren, Xander James Castro and Athena Castro of Austin. Also survived by her aunt, Robbie Ellett Gibson of Austin and sister, Ethel Goff Cooper, of Erin, Texas, brother, Marshall (Sonny) Goff and wife Mary Ann, of Security, Texas, sisters in law, “Tots” Fisher Wagner and “Boots” Fisher Kanetzky of Austin, her honorary son, Bill "Pete" Gilliam of Seguin and many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family who love her and will miss her.
A special remembrance to her dear friends, Gloria and Joyce and Brenda, her family at Northwest Baptist and the caretakers at The Christopher House. Tootsie was creative; an avid quilter and supporter of the Austin Area Quilt Bee “The Doobies”. She loved to paint and enjoyed all forms of needlework. She delighted in her son and his family.
Honorary pall bearers are all her nieces and nephews who carry her spirit and influence forever.
Visitation with friends will be at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752 on Sunday, December 7th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 8th, at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas, 78660 with the Rev. John Ahn officiating.
