George Edward Bradshaw

George Edward Bradshaw, 86, of Austin, Texas passed away July 30, 2021.
He was born in Austin, Texas on January 29, 1935, to Edward (Eddie) and Frances Bradshaw. George graduated from Austin High School and went on to serve in the Army National Guard of Texas from 1958- 1960.
George was happily married to Beatrice Lorean Dodson on August 15, 1959. During his life, he worked as a broadcast engineer for Clear Channel Communications served as a technical operator for his home church, Hyde Park Church of Christ, where he also served as an Elder. In addition, he was a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. George’s hobbies included HAM radio communication where he was known better as WD5EOX, filming family events, and tinkering with a vast array of electronics. George loved music, military history, and old comedy. Above all, he was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather.
George is survived by his daughter-in-law, Tina San Roman, four grandchildren: Blake, Bethany, Bryton, and Bevin Bradshaw, his brother and sister-in-law, William (Bill) and Lucy Bradshaw, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews. George was blessed to spend the last few years of his life under the compassionate care of his niece Belinda Adair and husband Weldon Adair, and members of their family. His always present smile will be missed by all.
A visitation for George will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A funeral service will occur Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A graveside service will occur Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Hopewell Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Texas 78642.
Serving as pallbearers are Blake Bradshaw, Bryton Bradshaw, Belvin Bradshaw, Phil Stephenson, Brooks Adair, Heath Adair and Davey McLawhorn.
