George Christopher Callan, Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully Friday, December 10, 2004, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Winifred Callan and sister, Katherine Swenson. George is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rachel; daughters, Cindy Ham and husband Larry and Kristy Rios; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Janette Carlson and husband Leroy; brother, Dan Callan and wife Katherine; brothers-in-law, Bill Allen, John Black, Leroy Swenson and Jim Kutalek; sisters-in-law, Mary Cooley and Berta Allen; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 13, 2004 at Forest Oaks Cemetery in Austin. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Weary and staff, Mary Ann and Charue for the loving care and support.
