George Lee Holland

George Lee Holland George Lee Holland, age 62, of San Antonio, Texas, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004. He was born August 11, 1941 to Howard W. Holland and Julie Norris in Oklahoma City. He was raised and attended school in Austin, Texas. He began his long career in retail with Beall’s Department Store where he advanced to upper level management. He was admired by his colleagues and was a mentor to many. His love of animals inspired him to create his own retail shops; Cats, Cats, Cats and his current shop; It’s A Jungle In Here, in Boerne, Texas. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman making good friends along the way. He is survived by his wife Betty Dixon, daughters Shannon Holland, Alyssa and husband Mike Behr; grandchildren Trenton Whittaker and Danielle Behr and sister Pat Rivera. He will be missed deeply by all that knew and loved him. The family will receive visitors Sunday, July 11, 2004 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, July 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
