

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac (Ike) and Oma Williams, seven brothers and two sisters, his wife Janelle “Rusty” Williams, and his son, Russell Ray Williams.
George is survived by his daughter Sherry Galloway, grandson Shawn Galloway of Shreveport, LA., and granddaughter Amanda Geltemeyer and husband Glenn, and great grandchildren Drew and Allison Geltemeyer of Coppell, TX. He is survived by daughter Michel Garvie and husband Herb, and granddaughter Haley Garvie of Elgin, TX.
George served his country during the Korean War receiving an honorable discharge after his service. George’s career was in the wholesale electrical business working for Graybar Electric in Shreveport, LA and Austin, TX and ultimately retiring from Dealers Electric in Austin, TX.
George was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed many years fishing with children, grandchildren and many other family members on Sam Rayburn Lake in East Texas and Falcon Lake in South Texas.
Later in life a new love in his life was Mary Hoyt, who was his cherished and loved companion for the rest of his life. They enjoyed travelling and camping together with friends.
A special thanks to Dad’s caregivers who took such good care of him. They were a godsend to us during a difficult time. Many thanks to those who visited him. It brought him great joy.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 am Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery also known as Richland Cemetery located at 17701 Cameron Rd., Pflugerville, TX. 78660 (512)251-4314. https://stjohnrichland.org/contact. Dress will be casual.
