

George worked as a lithographer for 40 years for the Steck Company and Hart Graphics.
George liked hunting and fishing. George coached baseball. He was on the church council at Salem Lutheran where he was a member since the age of seven.
George had 17 months of active duty during the Kennedy Administration and Berlin Crisis in the National Guard.
George is survived by his wife Betty of 55 years; daughter Beverly Habiger and husband Geoff and grandson Chris; son, John Eschberger and wife Amy , granddaughter, Nellie and grandson, Nash of Austin. Siblings: Sister, Dorothy Williams; brother, Jerry and sister-in-law, Cathy Eschberger.
He is predeceased by his parents, older brother, Edward, sister-in-law, Bernice and their daughter, Becky and brother-in-law, David Williams, numerous family members by marriage to Betty, friends and neighbors.
A visitation for Georgean will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM, both located at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery Mausoleum, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 9322 FM 812, Austin, Texas.
