Gerry Donald Thomas

Gerry Donald Thomas born September 9, 1965 passed away on September 6, 2025. He was born and raised in Seagoville, Texas, and graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1984. Shortly after, he proudly served in the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Following his service, Gerry devoted his career to the transportation of electronic data systems and household goods, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and reliability.

A man of many talents, Gerry found joy in Serving the Lord, fishing, and rebuilding anything mechanical. His patience, skill, and creativity shone through in every project.

Above all, Gerry was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cassandra Thomas; children Aliyah and Demi Thomas, Debyron Derrick, and Destinee Derrick-Gibson; his mother, Lillie Thomas; brothers Steve and Michael Thomas; and six beloved grandchildren and 7 God Children.

A visitation for Gerry will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM at New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, 2215 E 8th St, Austin, TX 78702. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM, 2215 E 8th St, Austin, TX 78702. A committal will occur Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542.
