Gilbert Ray Bennett Jr.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his biological mother Luann Welch, his adopted father James Hampton, Jr., and his older brother James Joseph "Moose" Hampton.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Ashley Childress; biological father, Gilbert Bennett Sr.; adopted mother, Vernita Hampton; his children, Domonique Bennett, Gabriel Bennett, Andrea Banks, Victoria, Nathan and Rudy Benitez.

A visitation for Gilbert will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
