He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ramona Herrera and brother Louis. He is survived by sister Margaret, and brothers Jesse, Robert, Johnny, and Joe. He leaves behind his beloved dog Chiquiti and special friend Lillie Moncivais and her daughter Christina, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held from five o’clock to seven o’clock in the evening on Sunday the 18th of March 2012, with a rosary recited at seven o’clock in the evening at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd Austin, Texas 78752.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday the 19th of March 2012 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 East 2nd Street, Austin Texas 78702. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
