Ginger A. Bush (Trammell), 42, died Friday, January 14th, 2011 at her home in Round Rock, Texas with family and friends by her side. Her death was due to a brain tumor. Ginger was the epitome of courage and grace. Albeit, “gone too soon”, she lived a loved, energized and enriched life.
She was born March 7th, 1968 in Auburn, Alabama, but spent most of her formative years in Killeen, Texas. She had an itinerant high school experience by attending high schools in Texas, Alabama, Germany and finishing her high school journey in Georgia to include some college. Her professional career involved approximately twenty-years at GTECH Corporation in various specialist roles.
Ginger is survived by her father, Harvest L. Trammell, and mother, Elizabeth Trammell (Taylor); her son, Tyree O. Bush (father: Denver L. Bush, Sr.) and her daughter, Breonna L. Davis (father: Breon Davis). She is also survived by her sister, Vanessa A. Trammell; brother, Michael Trammell; and uncle/brother, David W. Trammell; as well as many wonderful and supportive uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins in both, Alabama and Texas.
Ginger was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, niece, aunt and friend. She would readily admit that one of her greatest joys and accomplishments was that of being a mother.
Ginger was also one of the biggest fans of Prince, the famous musician and performer. So much so, her favorite color was purple and she painted her first house purple. She was expressive and passionate about all things dear to her heart.
Ginger will be honored with a visitation service on Tuesday, January 18th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park. Expressions of condolences may be sent to the same funeral home address.
It is understandable that there are no words that can console the loss of such a wonderful, loving and beautiful person. Ginger would ask that we take refuge in God and to continue to demonstrate love and support for her children -- her greatest legacy. The family extends a heartfelt and God felt thank you to all family, extended family, and friends who have and continue to show love for Ginger and her memory!
“In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” – Isaiah 30:15
