Born on May 15, 1932 in Pampa, Texas to Martin Arnold Jones and Helen Margaurite Jones. She grew up as the 2nd oldest of 10 children She was a devoted wife to Lloyd Mack Robertson for 65 years, and loving mother to Linda (Steve) Williamson, Douglas (Ginger) Robertson and Larry (Susanna “Marti”) Robertson. She was known for her giving heart, the stories she shared, the advice she gave and her mastery of what is now the lost art of writing cards and letters. She was passionate about her husband, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, as well as decorating her home and tending to her flower garden.
Gladys dedicated her life to her family, always offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, words of advice and encouragement, and an always full candy drawer or candy dish for the little ones and visitors. She cherished her time as “Mimi” with grandchildren Christie Williamson, Tyler (Julie) Robertson, Heather (Andrew) Black, Shane Robertson, Shawna (Richard) Mastaler, Leah (Cristian) Lopez, Kevin Robertson, Abby Robertson and Ally Robertson, and great-grandchildren Titus, Lainey, Lila, Drew, Weston, Colin, Lily and Willow, creating lasting memories with them.
Gladys kept many photo albums filled with pictures of family and friends, carefully listing names and dates on the back to keep track of all the memories. She was also diligent to make sure everyone had something to remember her and one another by.
Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband Lloyd Mack Robertson, parents Martin Arnold Jones and Helen Margaurite Blymiller Jones, sisters Mildred Jones, Virginia Morgan, Dorothy Whitfield, and brothers Bobby Jones and Jimmy Jones, and Great-granddaughters Ivy Bucuk and Maya Lopez.
