Glenda Grace Ali

Glenda was born Feb 11, 1949 to Ruthie and Wardell Jones in St. Louis, Missouri. Glenda grew up with her younger brother, Michael Tolbert, who preceded her in death. At the age of 19 she was blessed with two younger sisters and brother Tracy, April and Kirk Jones.

Glenda graduated from O’Fallon High School and immediately joined the Air Force in 1968. In 1978 she enlisted in the Kansas National Guard 127th Bomb Squadron “Jayhawk” after 21 years she retired under honorable conditions as a Senior Master Sergeant. She earned her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Friends University in Wichita Kansas. Committed to service and love of country she served an additional 10 years as a Civil Servant in the Contracting Command for the U.S. Air Force earning the highest rank of GS12.

Glenda was loved by all, her smile lit up a room and she affectionately gave everyone a special nickname. She loved her children; daughter, Sonja, son, Moazzam, and her grand-baby, Saniya, affectionately known as Binks. In her spare time she loved to travel and shop.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonja C. Ali; granddaughter, Saniya C. Ali; son, Moazzam Ali; sisters, Tracy Tolen, April McCaskill; brother, Kirk Jones; and a host of cousins.
