Gloria Jean "GB" Barrs

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4).

Gloria was born in Austin, Texas, April 4, 1944 to Willie Ross Nunn and Fannie Esther Lott.

She attended Austin Public School as well as the Austin Culinary Institute. Gloria also attended ITT for technical training.

She accepted Christ at an early age, while attending Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was also an active member of God Send Academy.

Gloria and the late William Barrs were united in Holy matrimony to this union three children were born, Fannie, Williams and Matthew Barrs.

Her husband William Barrs, and daughter Evangelist Fannie Jean Barrs preceded her in death. She entered into his eternal rest, Tuesday, March 1, 2011. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her two sons Williams Dean Barrs (Wanda) of Austin, Texas, Matthew Barrs (LaJuanna) of Houston, Texas and son-in-law Douglas Womack of Austin, Texas. Her grandchildren Choria Womack, Niecoda Jones, Adrain Jones, Freddric Womank, Michael Jones, Amerika Womack and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother Fannie Nunn, her sisters, Estella Nunn Harper, Patricia Jenny Nunn Richardson, Fannie Harriett Nunn, stepsister, Betty McVea and uncle, Roy Lee Nunn, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
