Gloria Johnson

She was born in Austin on December 12, 1939. At the age of 13 she met the love of her life, Leonard Johnson. They married and had 3 children. Gloria loved going to church at Austin Cathedral, spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling and going to the movies. Of the many things she enjoyed, the most important to her was God and Family. She had a loving spirit that could light up a room.

She will be forever remembered by her children Lenny, David, and Christi; as well as several grandchildren; Jason, Justin, Austin, Nicole, Kristin and Michael, all of whom live in Austin, and loved her deeply. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Johnson Sr.; mother, Edna Harton; father, Gerhart Harton; sister, Betty Jo Bavol; and brother, George G. Calhoun.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 am, on Thursday, December 7, 2017, all at Austin Cathedral, 3406 Tarlton Lane, Austin, Texas. Interment to follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Austin Cathedral.
