

Gloria was born May 28, 1933 in Austin, Texas. Gloria's first love was spending time with her husband, family and friends. Gloria retired from the Federal Government after 35 years of service but always held a part time job on the side with Lafuente's Real Estate. Real estate was her passion. Gloria always had numerous other dreams and interest spanning from dancing, singing, being an actress, writing a book and most recently writing a rap song with her sister, Bertha.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lupe Lafuente. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Molly Rodriguez and husband Joel; son, Michael Lafuente and wife Esther, son, Angel Lafuente; and daughters, Annette and Shirley Lafuente. Gloria was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Marisela and husband Chad Mitchley, Adrianna and partner Jermaine Beal, Matthew and Christopher; and 2 great- grandchildren, Jaidyn Nicole Beal and Freya Evangeline Mitchley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
A celebration of life service will be held with visitation beginning at 6 pm, following with a rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday December 4, 2014 at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home. Mass will be held at San Jose Church at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
