Gloria worked at H-E-B and retired after 50 years of service. She considered her H-E-B colleagues, family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a two-time recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award winner as a testament of how much she embodied spirit and mission of H-E-B.
In her free time, Gloria enjoyed taking trips, having dinner and making memories with her TGIF friend group and volunteering at Conley Guerrero senior center. Gloria had an infectious personality; she brought comfort and smiles to everyone she met.
For several years, Gloria hosted Easter at the Rancho Grande and Christmas morning breakfast for family. Anytime Gloria was involved in planning a gathering, you were sure to have a good belly laugh with her mysterious games. She was known for engaging even the shyest soul.
Gloria will be remembered as a kind, generous and selfless soul, with an impeccable smile, great hair and a heart of gold; she was truly an angel who walked amongst us. Her legacy will live on through her daughter and granddaughters whom she cherished with all her heart. She may be gone but will never be forgotten.
