Glynn Ray Devine was born May 8, 1927 at Donie, Freestone County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles Thomas Devine and Beatrice Little, his wife of 66 years Gladys Frances (Nagle) Moughon, Devine, son Michael Thomas Devine, daughter-in-law Nita Faye and granddaughter Mystie Dawn, his seven siblings and their spouses.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Jane "Pattie" (Moughon) Bontke and husband Walter Ernest; son David Ray Devine and wife Connie; Grandchildren Jason Wade Bontke and wife Saydea , Rev. Jonathan Carl Bontke and wife Dr. Diane, Tracey Flores and husband Dennis, Brian Polley and wife Gina, Matthew Polley and Kristina Polley; Great-grandchildren Trevor Wade, Shelby Wren, Jade Ryan, Trinity Paige, twins Luke Walter and Levi Wesley Bontke, Abigail Ellender Mae Polley, Sasha Felicidad and Stefan Leon' Flores and Oscar Francis Polley; a very special brother-in-law and devoted friend, John Francis Nagle II and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glynn was a hairdresser by profession and continued working well into his 80's. He came to Austin in 1945 and on June 24, 1950 he married G.F. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Austin Texas. G.F. had a 7-year-old daughter, Pattie. Glynn and G.F. were confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Austin Texas on January 20, 1952, the same day that both Glynn and Pattie were baptized. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served in numerous church offices.
The family wishes to thank the nursing and support staff at Park Bend Health Center for the love and excellent care that Glynn received during his stay with them.
