Graham Lovell

Graham was born on March 14, 1956, in England to Ronald Graham Lovell and Alfreida Mazy Sawyer. His life took him from Wakefield and Frimley in the United Kingdom to Los Gatos, California, and ultimately Austin, Texas.

Graham shared 49 years of marriage with his wife, Susan Lovell, his rock, companion, and best friend. He was a devoted father to Jamie Lovell and his wife, Nicole, and Ashley Lovell and his partner, Kathrine Day, and a proud and loving grandfather to Logan Lovell. He is also survived by his brother, Barry Lovell, and his wife, Denise. He was preceded in death by his parents.

After beginning his career repairing televisions, Graham earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and built a successful career in technology, including roles at Prime Computer and Sun Microsystems. He was particularly proud of serving as a Director of Marketing.

Graham was loving, generous, kind, intelligent, courageous, and always ready with a sense of humor. He had a remarkable ability to solve problems, whether they involved technology, leadership, home repairs, or carpentry. His family knew they could always count on his advice, a caring ear, or his simple response: “Happy to help.”

A talented carpenter, Graham built beautiful pieces for his family, including dining tables and cabinetry that will remain in their homes for years to come. He loved beach vacations, Texas barbecue, Rod Stewart, walking and talking with his family, and sharing a special bottle of wine each Christmas Eve.

As a father, Graham was strong, dependable, supportive, and full of advice. As a grandfather, he was loving, proud, and tremendous fun. He taught his family to approach life with empathy and compassion while pursuing it with ambition and passion.

For his son Jamie, one sound will always bring Graham home: the garage door opening at the end of the day, followed by his unmistakable voice calling from the entryway, “HELLO — I’M HOME!”

Graham’s life will be celebrated on August 29, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Austin, Texas.

His family will remember his intelligence, humor, craftsmanship, generosity, and endless willingness to help. Most of all, they will remember how deeply he loved them
