

parents George W. Winchester and Etta M. (Calhoun) Winchester. Gregory passed away on December 31, 2021.
Gregory was baptized at 12 years old at Daniel Gray CME Church of Sherman, Texas where he attended Sunday School and sang in the Children’s choir. He joined Joshua Chapel CME Church in Austin, Texas, under Reverend Debra Guillory and served wherever needed.
Gregory attended primary school in Sherman, Texas and graduated from Longmont High School, Colorado, in 1978. He also attended University of Colorado majoring in Communications and Business. He worked for Dudley Hair Products as a Salesman for several years. He loved this job because he met so many interesting people, and got to do a lot of traveling. After this job he worked for several dealerships in Dallas, Texas as a salesman at Toyota of Irving, Mitsubishi, and Don Herring Volkswagen-Subaru. In Austin he worked for Satellite Country, for several years and retired because of his health. Gregory loved sports and his favorite was football and his team the ‘DALLAS COWBOYS’. He enjoyed fishing and cooking with his Granddaughter Audri, teaching her to play card games as well as Backgammon. Gregory also enjoyed Golfing, poker and recycling.
Gregory was proceeded in death by his father, George W. Winchester, Brother George James Winchester, Grandmother Pauline Meador. He leaves to cherish his memory son Marcus T. Kemp, and daughter Avanti (Winchester) Small (Shawn), two stepsons Jimmy Demond Davis and Kristopher Eden Davis. He was married to Ava M. (Brown) Winchester and they divorced. He married Jackie Elaine (Bowser) Winchester. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brother Christopher Boyd and sister Sharon Scruggs, his grandchildren, Shawn W. Small, Audri J. Small, Kristiana Davis, Jamesha Davis, Devonte Kemp, Natavia Kemp, Exavion Bowen, great grandchildren, Zaylee Bowen, Camille Kemp, Ava Kemp. His niece Sarisha Bonilla (Brent). His mother in-law Ms. Margie Davis, Aunts Norma J. Douglas and Bobbie Zigler. His cousins David Nichols (Deirdre), Paulette Hays (Thad), Roxanne Barnes, Deidra Davis (Michael), Verlon Zigler (Stephanie), James Zigler, (Susie) Noble Polk (Anita), Arlie Polk Jr., Debra Ikeneyei, Alice Blanton, Douglas Foster (Brenda), David Foster, and Steve Nolan, Williamenus Pierce, Darrell Pierce (Denise), Brad Pierce (Laurie), Adrian Pierce (Stephanie). He also leaves behind a devoted friend Levi Bowser his brother-in-law, Mr. Frank, and Mr. Rudy who assisted him wherever needed. And a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
