

Gretchen was educated at Capital City Trade School. She held a variety of positions afterwards, ranging from instructor for a court reporting school to Real Estate Stager.
Gretchen devoted herself to the intricacies and joys of motherhood with highlighted focus on Lacrosse and Video graphing. In her spare time she voraciously read and involved herself in a variety of crafts. She gave of her time, talents, and treasures unselfishly to the Stony Point High School Lacrosse Booster Club and team, the Breast Cancer Center of Austin and Toastmasters.
Gretchen is survived by her son Hunter Waltz and his father, Greg Waltz; sisters Susan Ilse Littlejohn of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Linda Ilse of Burlington, Maine, Carolyn Ilse Burkland and spouse Hollis of San Marcos, Texas; brother Kurt Ilse and spouse Lileette of El Campo, Texas; Ms. Ilse Miller of Columbus, Texas; 5 nephews; 3 nieces; 2 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Marie Ilse.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, 2500 E. Palm Valley Blvd., in Round Rock, Texas.
