

Pastor Guadalupe Moreno, a beloved figure in our lives, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on December 12, 1955, in Austin, Texas, to Florentino Moreno and Celia Ortiz, he left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
Guadalupe’s journey began at William B. Travis High School in Austin, Texas. He married his soulmate, Linda A. Moreno, on November 18, 1978, and they embarked on a remarkable 47-year journey together. Their love story blossomed into the raising of five children and eight grandchildren, creating a warm and nurturing family environment.
For over three decades, Guadalupe dedicated his life to serving others as a driver and vendor for the Tom Bergstrom Vending Company in Austin, Texas. His unwavering commitment to his work and his compassionate nature made him a beloved figure in the community. Additionally, he spent 40 years as a devoted pastor, playing a pivotal role in the founding of multiple churches across Texas and the local community. His passion for spreading love and faith was evident as he baptized countless individuals, married couples, and brought people closer to Jesus.
Beyond his professional achievements, Guadalupe found solace and joy in his artistic pursuits and his love for music. He was a talented painter and a voracious music enthusiast, and his life was a testament to his unwavering devotion to his faith, family, and sports. Guadalupe’s legacy is defined by his unwavering kindness, profound love for God and the Church, and unwavering devotion to his family. Despite being a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes about his character and the profound impact he had on those around him. His simple yet profound presence left an indelible mark on our lives, and he will forever be remembered as a cherished member of our community.
Lupe’s kindness, generosity, honesty, and love for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Surviving him are his wife, Linda; their daughters, Lesley, Pola (Zachary), and their sons, Ezekiel (Thip), Elijah (Toni), and Elihu. They also have eight grandchildren: Nattharika, Neesa, Jordan, Isabella, Daniella, Aaron, Eziriah, and Genesis. Additionally, he has remaining Moreno siblings, Cecilia, Rudy, Paul, Dolores, Marty, and Virginia.
