Hanna Rae Merrill

July 7, 1993 – February 19, 2026

Hanna Rae Merril passed away in her sleep on February 19, 2026. Although she suffered many chronic health problems, Hanna was a sweet, caring individual who brought joy and love into the lives of all who knew her.

Hanna was very active online, posting her photos of nature and animals to her Instagram account and maintaining a wide social network. She was beloved by her health care providers and developed close working relationships with many of them. Hanna was always empathetic to the needs and feelings of those around her.

She is survived by her parents Sean and Elizabeth, brother Schaefer, uncles Eric Merrill and Jeffrey Arkin along with his wife Kris, and grandmother Sherrill Arkin. She also leaves behind Cooper, Castor and Pollux, three cats who loved her very much.

Hanna was preceded in death by her grandfathers Raymond Merrill and Herb Arkin, her grandmother Clara Merrill, and cats Petey, Cleo and Anji.
