

Harold Aldean Walderon, 90, passed away on Friday evening, September 12th, 2014 in Austin, Texas. He was born on August 20th, 1924 in Glen Cove, Texas to parents Isaac Walderon and Rosa Loflin. Harold served in the Army as a truck driver during World War II in the Pacific Theater. For his service to his country, he received the Good Conduct, Victory, American Theater Campaign and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medals. A long time resident of Maryland, Harold and his wife Prima more recently have been living in Austin with his daughter Alicia, her husband Mark, and their daughter Laurel. He was a hard worker, a man of integrity, and loved finding humor in life. He enjoyed telling jokes and reading comics in the daily newspaper, which he called the “educational section”. During his retirement years some of his interests included traveling, coin collecting, following his favorite sports on TV, and playing dominoes and card games with family. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ.
Harold is preceded in death by a son Thomas Walderon of Hutto, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Prima Walderon, his daughter Alicia Stennett and husband Mark of Austin, Texas, daughter Martha Tucker and husband Kenneth of Victoria, Texas, daughter Barbara Bell of Victoria, Texas, daughter-in-law Tina Walderon of Hutto, Texas and by his son James Walderon of Hutto, Texas as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces.
A visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, Texas. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, Austin, Texas.
