

Harry accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. He later re-dedicated his life to Christ at the Wheless Lane Church of Christ, Austin, Texas.
He grew up in Austin and attended the Austin public schools graduating from Lanier High School. After high school, he attended Cisco Junior College and graduated with an Associates of Arts degree. He further continued his education at Tarleton State University and Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), as well as Austin Community College. In the spring of 1982, Harry began his work with the United States Postal Service and served the East Austin Community in and around Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard for over thirty years. He was a caring and devoted man, loved deeply by all those he served and met in the community.
Harry is preceded in death by his father, Hollis Moffett, and two sisters, Jean Loretta Moffett-Dendy and Jo Carol Moffett.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Moffett; two sons, Eric Moffett and
Harry Moffett II (Jenell); one daughter Leslie Moffett; his children’s mother, Erma; three granddaughters, Genesis Gabrielle, Zion Olivia and Trinity Victoria; one grandson, Champion Apollo; sister, Sharon Washington (Herman); two brothers, Hollis Moffett (Lee) and Harrell Moffett (Martha); brother-in-law, Henry Dendy; and a host of relatives and many great friends.
