

Helen was born on September 29, 1921 in Bartlett, Texas to Nina Jackson Digby and Guy Digby. She was the last surviving child of 7 children.
She was a lifelong resident of Austin and was a lifetime volunteer member of the Seton Auxiliary where she worked for 30 years donating over 15,000 hours.
Helen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Wallace F. (Chief) Kelm, Sr., daughter, Barbara Werner (Dale); son, Wally Kelm, Jr. (Jan); daughter, Marinell Martinez; daughter, Debbie Engstrom (William); 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, December 5, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Honoring Helen as pallbearers will be Mike Werner, Erik Martinez, Michael Taylor, Sammy Ellison, Jerry Ayres, and Dominic Tonsi. Honorary pallbearers will be William Engstrom, Dale Werner, Willis Steed, and Scott McAtee.
The Kelm family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Margaret Mercado who was our Mother’s wonderful, loving caretaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Helen’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3520 Executive Center Drive, Suite 140, Austin, Texas, 78731.
