Many past students continue to this day calling, visiting and sending cards. Helen adopted her daughter, Theresa Michelle, at the age of 8, and she was Helen's joy. Later she was blessed with a grandson, Chandler Isaac, who she adopted at the age of 4. Chandler made her life even happier and fulfilled. She was also blessed with a grandson, Charles Thomas (Chuck), who lives in North Carolina and is very special to all the family. Helen was a devoted member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. Her faith in God sustained her through her long and often painful illness. Friends were always so important to Helen. Thanks to all of you who have supported her throughout the years. We also thank Dr. Michael Shapiro and his associates for their wonderful care, the nurses and aides on Seton Central, 4th floor North and all the other doctors and nurses who went out of their way to make Helen's life blessed.
