It is with much sadness that we mourn the passing this past Shabbat, of our cherished CAA Family Member, Henry Lipsie (z"l); beloved husband of Sarah (a"h); cherished father of Mike Lipsie and David Preston, William and Shelia Lipsie, and Caren and Ron Betz; and honored grandfather and great-grandfather of many.  
Henry was born in Utica, NY, and served with the US Air Force during World War II.  After the war, he went to work at Johnson & Johnson as a research chemist -- and as the family relates, he was instrumental in developing the famous Baby Shampoo formula.  Henry returned to work for the Air Force, offering training in the early atomic program at Los Alamos, and he completed his career working for the Civil Service.  Henry was a few months shy of his 100th birthday.  
Funeral and burial services will take place in Maryland, where he lived for many years.  There was a minyan service on Monday and
there will be another memorial service in about a month at Brookdale (for more information, contact carenbetz@gmail.com).   
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made in Henry's (z"l) loving memory to the National Jewish Health of Denver -- http://www.nationaljewish.org; or to Congregation Agudas Achim --www.caa-austin.org.

May Henry's (z"l) soul be bound up in the bond of life.  We wish much comfort and condolence to his family in this mournful time.

There will be an empty chair at the Pesach table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories of Henry (z"l). He was our dear friend and we loved him. We will miss our morning breakfast times and warm smile he had when he saw us. His legacy is his beautiful family and all those that loved him! It was our honor to be part of his life.
