Mack was born September 13, 1937, in Clarendon, Texas. He moved to Austin at an early age and attended St. Mary’s Preschool, Wooldridge Elementary, University Junior High, Austin High, and ultimately the University of Texas.
In 1967 he married Jeanette Mayer and they were lucky enough to celebrate their forty-sixth wedding anniversary on January 14th.
In 1972, Mack began his business in commercial real estate and enjoyed a long and successful career as a highly respected member of the local business scene. He was a charter member of ACRES and played a role in the development of scores of local businesses and franchises.
Pre-deceased by his parents, H.M. “Flip” Breedlove and Vella Breedlove, Mack is survived by his stepmother, Dorothy Breedlove, wife, Jeanette, son, Mark Breedlove, daughter-in-law, Dr. Rachel Breedlove, and his two “perfect” grandchildren, Andrew and Paige.
Mack has requested the following friends to honor him as Honorary Pallbearers: Tim Roche, Charles Scallorn, John Fainter, Alton Greeven, Greg Gannaway, Jerry Adams, Carroll Martin, Bruce Wallace, Dick Demel, Fred Mosley, Ted Regnier, Jim Caldwell, Walton Cotton, Arnold Armstrong, Fred Petmecky, Pepper Massingill, Wayne Graybill, and Ewell Muse.
A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary, on Friday, February 15th at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, Texas. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Msgr. Bill Brooks, officiating.
