

Homer F. (Pat) Patterson Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully Monday, July 26, 2004. Widely known as Pat of Mr. Pats Coiffures, he lived and worked in Austin for most of his 79 years. Affectionately called Bobby by his grandchildren, Homer loved his family and his profession passionately and fiercely. He delighted in helping women feel beautiful and entertaining them with his saucy wit as they sat in his chair. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois; his three daughters, Terri Whitfield, Patti Wilkins and Rebecca Dillard; sons-in-law, Eric Wilkins and Donald Dillard; grandchildren, Stephanie Jagen and husband Michael, Jeff Whitfield and wife Mandy, Brad and Trent Wilkins, Philip Prasek and Derek Dillard; great-grandchildren, Adam and Matthew Jagen; siblings, Melvin Ray Patterson, Martin Patterson and Lue Becker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Cook. Homer was born in Temple, Texas on May 26, 1925 to Cecil Mills Patterson and Ola Mae Floyd Patterson, and raised in Austin by his father and step-mother, Joy Patterson, who loved him as her own after he lost his own mother in a car accident. Following military service in the Navy during WWII, Homer married Lois West on February 2, 1945, and raised his family in Austin. Visitation will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial services and celebration of his wonderful life will be Thursday, July 29, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, 5206 Balcones Dr. Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law and grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church.
