

He was born December 18, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Howard Samuel and Edna (Dewey) Wilson. He was married to Kathryn Elizabeth Long, daughter of Edward and Mildred (Navarre) Long, November 25, 1950 at St. Mary Church in Monroe, Michigan.
Mr. Wilson was a 1946 graduate of Monroe High School and a 1950 graduate of Michigan State College with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Hatzel & Buehler, Electrical Contractors in Detroit and Lansing, Michigan State University Physical Plant, and the University of Texas at Austin Physical Plant, where he retired as Director in 1994. He was a Registered professional Engineer in both Michigan and Texas. He was a Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the Michigan State Alumni Varsity "S" Club. He was an Honorary Member of the University of Texas College of Engineering Friends of Alec.
Mr. Wilson received a reserve commission as a 2nd Lt. from ROTC at Michigan State in 1950. He was also designated as a Distinguished Military Student. He served as a 1st Lt. in the US Army, 1st Guided Missile Group, Fort Bliss, Texas, from 1951 to 1953.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, and his son, Scott. Surviving are two daughters, Susan (David) Cook of Austin, Texas and Joan (Joseph) Hilber of New Palestine, Indiana; two sons, Craig (Theresa) of Seattle, Washington, and Jeffrey (Diane) of Lansing, Michigan; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
