

He was a loving and devoted husband to Christine to whom he had been married to for 48 years and a wonderful and loving dad to his sons, Clement and Norman. Two other boys in his life that he loved dearly were his pride and joy grandsons, Hanson & Harrison. Dad attended National Taiwan University for his Bachelor’s Degree, University of Hawaii for his Masters, and University of Texas at Austin for his PhD in Civil Engineering.
He enjoyed music, traveling and working in his yard especially during spring time when his bluebonnets bloomed. He was a quiet, intellectual and loving person whose heart was as big as the sun that shines the day. He was a person many called Dad and one whose quiet wit would warm those around him.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Christine Wu; his son, Clement Wu; his grandsons, Hanson Wu and Harrison Wu; daughter-in-law, Emily Wu; brothers, Yau Fung Wu and his wife, Bi-Luang Wu of Taiwan and Masa Wu and wife, Lygia Wu, older sisters, Mei-Wai Tong, Meisie Liu and husband, Earnest Liu, Mabel Lai and husband, Bill Lai all of California and sister-in-law, Phyllis Wu of Arizona; numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He is preceded in death by his youngest son, Norman Wu; dad, Lai-Hsing Wu; mom, Lin Fun Wu; older brother, Rong Zhong Wu; and younger brother, Roger Wu.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 1, 2016, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Hsing-Wu’s memory to Free to Breathe.
