

Huel had been a resident of Austin since 1966. He was a graduate of Lanier High School, and attended Stephen F. Austin University and Southwest Texas State.
He married his high school sweetheart, Janet, in 1974. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, enlisting in 1970 during the Vietnam War and retiring 24 years later as a Sergeant Major.
The pride and joy of Huel’s life was his two sons, Matt and Zach. He was an avid outdoorsman, but had less time for hunting and fishing when he began coaching his boys’ soccer teams. Huel spent many years as a successful air conditioning and refrigeration salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, their sons, Matthew and Zachary of Austin; his father, Coleman P. Callaway, his brother and sister-in –law, Coleman and Linda Callaway, of Georgetown and numerous friends and relatives.
A graveside service with Marine Corps Honors will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 21st of June 2012, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas with Reverend Randall Hilburn officiating. Service are under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, Austin, Texas.
