Ida Mae Brandt

Ida Mae Brandt, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Austin, Texas. She was born in 1925 in Sparta, Ill. She spent her youth in Belleville, IL, moving to St. Louis, MO for nursing school. This is where she met her husband, Chris Brandt. They were married for 42 years.

After marriage, Ida Mae spent her time in St. Louis raising her 2 daughters. She was an avid golfer until her rheumatoid arthritis forced her to become a spectator. The Brandts became Austin residents after retirement in 1983.

Ida Mae was preceded in death by her husband Chris Brandt. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Donna Dee Raby and husband Dick of Bonita Springs, FL & Christy Kite & husband Tom of Austin, TX, and her grandchildren, Jana Richey & husband Jim, Stacy Jansen & husband Mark, Stephanie Kite, Paul Kite, & David Kite and wife Hunter , and great grandchildren, Avery , Payton, & Quinn Richey, and Jared, Drew, & Justin Jansen.
