An Oma is someone who loves without bounds, cares like no one else, and gives without thought. Fiercely independent, stubborn, and hard-headed, yet wonderfully soft. She is the giver of hugs, the pincher of cheeks, and a foundation of kisses. Irmgard Spears was one of the toughest ladies I have ever known, cut from fabric they don’t make anymore. She overcame every obstacle the world threw in her way, never backing down and never compromising. There will never be another like her in the entire history of the world to come. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Oma lived a simple life; she was stubborn to a fault and exceedingly independent – but more importantly, she gave everything and asked for nothing in return. It didn’t take much to make her happy - a birthday card, her favorite flowers or even just sitting down to talk. We were the most important people in the world to her and she lived only to make our lives better in any way possible. Adam (Grandson)
Oma cared more than most, loved more than most, and during her younger years unfortunately was made to suffer more than most. However, no matter how many times she was made to endure things that no one should, she pushed through it all, stronger, more caring and more loving than ever. She taught us all what true perseverance meant and what it could accomplish. There are so many memories that we'll always have to cherish. It is almost as if I can see and feel them in this very moment. Oma was an amazing woman, one who was so special that she will be greatly missed, but she’ll remain in our hearts forever. John (Grandson)
