Israel "Izzy" Lucien Uballe, a resident of Austin, Texas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the young age of 28, on Sunday, the 2nd of March, 2025 at Ascension Seton Hays.
Israel was born November 11th, 1996 in Austin, TX, to Amy M. Uballe. "Izzy", to all who knew and loved him, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, and an unbreakable bond with the people and animals he loved. Izzy was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him—always smiling, always helping, always caring.
Izzy had a deep appreciation for nature, finding solace and joy in hiking, exploring his city and the surrounding areas, and discovering forgotten, abandoned places. He had an innate ability to connect with both people and animals, always looking out for those in need—rescuing strays, nursing them back to health, or simply offering a kind gesture at the right moment. He was a fierce protector, always ready to stand up for those who needed him.
A true car enthusiast, Izzy’s passion for automobiles was unmatched. From exotic supercars to classic muscle cars, he had an incredible depth of knowledge and a love for the thrill of the drive. His job as a valet driver for various downtown Austin hotels allowed him to be around the cars he loved, and he relished every moment of it.
One of Izzy’s greatest love languages was cooking for others. He was amazing in the kitchen and took pride in making people feel cared for through his food. He was known for his jalapeño bombers and the perfect medium-rare steak—dishes that brought smiles and satisfied appetites to many. Cooking was another way he expressed his generosity, always making sure those around him felt comforted and full, both in food and spirit.
Izzy had deep compassion for the unhoused, the discarded, the suffering, and the lonely souls of the world. He would feed, hug, or simply sit and talk with anyone he felt needed a little bit of kindness in their day. He poured into others selflessly, regardless of his own needs, always choosing love, understanding, and generosity over anything else.
Izzy loved all animals, but he especially loved his cats: Buster, Cha-Cha, Artemis, Mowgli, Luna, Vanta, and Milo. He was the ultimate "cat dad," caring for them with endless love and devotion. All but two—Artemis and Milo—preceded him in passing, and now he is reunited with his beloved feline companions.
Above all, Izzy was a devoted and loving son, friend, grandson, nephew, great-nephew, godbrother, and cousin. He deeply valued the love of his family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was ever protective, caring, thoughtful, and generous, always putting the people he loved first. His presence brought warmth and joy to every space he entered.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him, especially those who were lucky enough to truly know his heart. Though his time with us was far too short, the love, joy, and memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.
Rest easy, Izzy. Your laughter, love, compassion, devotion, and adventurous soul will never be forgotten.
