Jack was a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, but had resided in Austin, Texas since 1972. He served in the US Air force during the Korean War as a Communications Specialist and loved serving his country. He was stationed at Brize Norton Air Force Base outside of London, England from 1952 to 1956. He scored the highest of all Airmen, taking seven and five level Airmen proficiency tests. London became his Fountain of Youth, and he and Judith made many, many trips to London and the UK. His dream was to take all his daughters to London, and he managed three out of four, plus his two oldest Grandchildren.
Jack was a Mason and a member of the Jewish War Veterans. After serving his country, he worked for the IRS for nearly 30 years. He then worked for the City of Austin after retiring. He became a Bar Mitzvah in February 2005.
Jack was a family man, and family was the most important thing to him above all else.
