

Jack LaRoy Ricketts passed away at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX on Saturday, January 8, 2022. The youngest of three sons, Jack was born January 15, 1946, in Grandfield, OK to Margie Mae Hubbard Ricketts and Roy Ricketts.
While in high school Jack was an active member of FFA where he won numerous awards showing cattle and received the State FFA degree. He graduated Grandfield High School in 1964 and attended Oklahoma State University until he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Hohstadt in 1965. In this union, three children were born.
Jack owned and operated a bulldozing company in Grandfield, OK before going to work off shore for Brown and Root Marine Division for 13 years, where he was a crane operator on the Ocean Builder. He relocated to Austin, TX and began working for Custom Plumbing in 1994, where he was still employed at the time of his death. Jack loved his job and considered Bill, Faye, Dennis and Debbie family.
Jack enjoyed farming and talking politics. He loved a good steak and a cold Shiner. He made many friends with the staff at Texas Land & Cattle and Saltgrass. His kids and grandkids enjoyed visiting him and eating at these places, along with The County Line.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Margie, his brothers Bob and Danny, and son Mark.
He is survived by his best friend; 13 year old Pomeranian CJ, daughters; Lori Robinson, Cache, OK, Malinda Rodriguez and spouse Daniel, Grandfield, OK, grandchildren; Alyssa Murray, Cache OK, Kayla Ricketts, Dale, Tx, Dylan Rodriguez, Lubbock, TX, Ty Murray, Cache, OK, Madison Rodriguez, Edmond, OK, Garrison Brown, Lawton, OK, Marisa Ricketts, Ben Brook, Tx and Monique Rodriguez, Lawton, OK and great grandchildren Amiyah, Analayah, and Zane of Dale, TX and Jaci Mae of Cache, OK
