Jim was born in McAllen, TX, on April 1st, 1941. He grew up in “the Valley” area of South Texas, moving to Austin in 1959 to attend U.T. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Jim’s career path as a computer programmer allowed him to work for many different Texas state agencies over the years.
He is survived by his sister Lynn, sons Byron and Pearce (both of whom also became computer programmers), and his grandchildren Erin and Ronan.
A remembrance service will be held the afternoon of May 6th at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin.
