Jim Caldwell was born March 9, 1935 to Rowe and Myrtle Caldwell in Austin, Texas. Jim was a devoted family man and proud member of the Texas A&M class of 1957. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 26, 2009. Jim worked for Anderson-Clayton Corporation, Inc (ACCO Feeds) from 1960 until his retirement in 1990 and continued his passion as a cattleman on his ranch south of Abilene TX. Jim was an avid cattle rancher, hunter and Texas Aggie football fan. In 2006 he and his wife Nancy moved to Georgetown to be closer to family and friends. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy; son Jim Caldwell, Jr. (Lara) of Dallas, TX; daughters Leanne Clark (Dawson) of Round Rock, TX, Nancy Gaye Volding (Doug) of Richmond, TX; five grandchildren, Lauren and Trey Caldwell, Drew and Amy Clark, and Katie Volding; one great-grandson Caden Caldwell. The family will receive guests from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at the Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church in Garfield, TX with burial following at the Haynie Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Children at Heart Ministries at www.childrenatheartministries.org
