

James B. Clements, 91, died Tuesday, May 10th, 2016. He was a loving husband, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, brother and uncle. James is survived by his devoted family, wife Evelyn Rosengren Clements; son, Jim Clements and wife, Nancy; daughter, Donna Clements Parker; his three granddaughters, eleven great grandchildren, and sister, Billie Meier. He will be missed by many friends and others who are considered “family”.
James served in the United States Navy during World War II.
As a respected member of the construction industry, James supervised the building of many structures in Austin, such as high schools, hospitals, and state office buildings.
James Clements, a long-time Austinite, was a member and deacon of the Northwest Baptist Church for over 60 years. He was a kind, compassionate, man of God and blessed every life he touched.
His family requests that donations be made to the Northwest Baptist Church Missionary Fund, in lieu of flowers.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00-7:00pm, on Friday, the 13th of May 2016, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752.
Services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, the 14th of May 2016 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752. . Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
