James (Jim) Robert Marshall, 70, former resident of Lakeway, Texas, passed away on December 3, 2009 at his residence in Spicewood, Texas. Jim was born on October 20, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Marie and Donald (d) Marshall and soon after moved to Omaha, NE. Jim was married to Sandy Gale Scoular in 1961 at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha Nebraska and immediately moved to California where they raised two children, Todd and Tracy. The family has resided in Fullerton, CA; Covina, CA; Omaha, NE; Austin, TX and Spicewood, TX. Jim loved the outdoors and was passionate about hunting, fishing, boating and working with his hands. Jim enjoyed his role as "Grampy" and looked forward to the summers when the grandkids would stay with him before attending summer camp. Jim is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Todd (Julie) Marshall and Tracy (Nick) Minchich; grandchildren, Parker Marshall (18) and Madison Marshall (14); mother Marie of Florida; sister Judy Falkinburg of Florida; and his dogs Mandy (pictured above) and Murphy. Jim was a man of many skills and talents, but to his family and friends he was best known for being a hard working man, loving father and caring spouse. A service will be held to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm on December 12, 2009 at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734.
