James was a very avid reader, enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family.
James served during the Korean war in the U.S. Navy and after serving his country, attended Hardin Simmons University obtaining undergraduate degree. Afterwards he attended and graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry.
James had a successful Dental practice in Austin for 38 years.
James is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Silvia, and his sister Sue Powers.
James is survived by his wife Ruth of 66 years, sons Jim, Frank and daughter Bonney. Also 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A private interment will be held.
