My thoughts and prayers go out to Walter`s family and friends. He was a good man.He will be missed greatly.I remember when I first met Walter he pegged me the name Sweet Sue but of course Jackie told he just didn`t know me. But I still have people that call me that.



the memories I hold of Uncle Walter are so dear to me, he would wheel us (Kevin & I) into Antones and we had front row seating, Every singer in the club knew Uncle Walter! His voice and thunderous laughter carried thru the crowds.  Always a special man, always a smile during most of his physical pains, and most of all always there to listen. My prayers are with you Glenda, Nelda, Uncle Jackie and Dwayne. Well at least we know he's up there with Kevin givin Hell to Mam'maw and R.J. Sorry I couldn't be there in person. love ya miss Rae



Dewayne,Glenda,Nelda & Jackie...  My sympathy to each of you.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.    I'm so happy in recent years Walter & I shared some time together. He was the love of my life. I have many good memories of my life with Walter to include all of you, our kids & ofcourse Ella Faye & Bud. Walter loved his family. He was a good husband, stepfather, & a hard worker. Most of all he loved to have fun. Many times Teresa & I still laugh when we remenber something funny he did or said. Through the years when I've asked Walter's other friends how he was doing, in each instance a big smile would appear on their face.    I knew he was still Walter -- personality, personified!    His laughter I still hear, his smile I still see, as we parted our ways in '84 -- I say again, "Meet you at the pass Walter."                      Til then,                       Joey



Walter was always there when someone needed him. He was one of the most enjoyable people I ever  met. He was in my life during the old days when he loved to dance and was always laughing. He will always be remembered for the wonderful man he was.



Condolences to the family of my beloved friend.He will be missed by us all. The years of aches and pains are over for him. Let us cherish the memories of what a strong person Walter was and the smiles he put on our faces.



My heart goes out to the family and friends of this dear person whose life touched thousands of people throughout his life. There are those of us who will never forget all the good times as well as those days when he was in so much pain after his accident. We all have so many memories to cherish whether it be his artwork, paintings, pictures, or just remembering his laughter or a painful, bad grumpy day. His spirit will remain with us through his collected works, which I am eternally grateful for - as well as the generous nature he preserved in sharing this with all interested parties!
