Born at 1 pound 14 ounces, Jameson was small; but the void we are left with, in the wake of his passing, is massive. The weight of sorrow is heavy. During his short time here on Earth, he was able to touch the lives of so many. He is loved deeply by his family and community. His memory is forever imprinted on the grieving hearts of all who shared in his profound story. Jameson met the eyes of the Lord while in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where his twin sister, Elizabeth Anne Welling, still remains fighting strong. He will protect and look over her, giving her his strength, as she continues on with her journey.
Dearest Jameson, our precious son, please know that our greatest blessing was having you. We weep as we remember holding you in our arms, remember hearing the sound of your faint cry. We grieve with regret for not being able to save you, for not being able to protect you. But we take comfort in knowing you are in Heaven with our Lord, and that when our time comes, we will be reunited for all eternity. The sorrow felt in your passing is beyond articulation, but the time we spent together, brief as it was, will be forever cherished, confined in our dreams until the day we see you once again. Our love for you is unremitting. It will never wane. Thank you, son, for the gift of love and joy you filled within us. We vow to honor you in memory for all the rest of our days. Mommy and Daddy love you. Our sweet baby boy, we will always miss you.
