Jane Hampton

Jane Hampton, 55, of Austin passed away August 11, 2011. She was born June 18th, 1956 in Alpine, Texas, to Tom and Phyllis Moore. She moved to Austin in 1973. Jane was a graduate of St. Edwards University and considered her greatest role in life was that of a loving mother. She was active in PTA, serving as President and taking a stand for more nutritional food in schools. She was a strong supporter of the Golf Association, Cub Scouts and then Boy Scouts. Jane was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. Jane is survived by her son, Thomas Hampton; her parents; her brother, Thomas and his wife, Gwen, and the delight of her life, a nephew, Zachary John Thomas Moore. Memorial Services will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 15th of August, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas with Rev. Linda Elford officiating. In lieu of flowers and the customary remembrances, memorials may be sent to Crestview United Methodist Church, 1300 Morrow, Austin, Texas, 78757.
