

Jane Flint (Goodell) Moe passed away on March 27, 2008 at the age of 66 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas from complications which arose from her battle with lymphoma cancer. Jane was born on December 30, 1941 to Kent and Elaine Goodell in Gary, Indiana. She attended elementary school in the Chicago area, high school in Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Idaho with a BA is English. Jane taught school in the Detroit area. She married Keith Moe on December 31, 1966 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan after which they lived in the St. Paul, Minnesota area. Jane taught school for two years in the White Bear, Minnesota school district. Their two daughters were born in the St. Paul area. While the Moe's called Minnesota their home state, the family moved with 3M Company to Brussels, Belgium for four years during the children's elementary years where Jane counseled in the International School. They returned to the St. Paul area where she was a volunteer coordinator with the school district. During the children's high school years, the family again moved with 3M Company to Caracus, Venezuela for 2 years. Again, the family returned to Minnesota. Jane directed the Woodbury Adult Education Program for a number of years. In 1996, Keith and Jane moved to Austin, Texas with 3M Company. In Austin, Jane spent her time volunteering, pursuing her interests in art, gardening, reading and loving and caring for her grandchildren. Keith and Jane also spent a great deal of time traveling with family and friends domestically and internationally. Jane is survived by her husband of 41 years, Keith; her daughter and her husband, Robin and Jay Fischer; three grandchildren Ben, Jack and Ella, Austin, TX, her daughter and husband Jill Moe and John Schroeder; two grandchildren Theodore and Jane, Seattle, WA; two sisters Pat Brooks, Fort Wayne, IN, Marcia McAllister, Friday Harbor, WA; her brother John Goodell, Castle Rock, CO. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many beloved friends. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Kent and Elaine Goodell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Triumphant Love Lutheran Church benevolence fund and the Salvation Army. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Triumphant Love Lutheran Church, 9508 Great Hills Trail.
